As a tourist destination, Varanasi lacks in the infrastructure specific to the kids related activities. It doesn’t offer much choices to the little kids during the travels. Few kids-friendly attractions in Varanasi are:
1. Varanasi Fun City: This is a water park with facilities like variety of slides, flumes and other interesting features. The pool area of the fun city is approx 50000 square feet. Life guards are also deployed to deal with the emergencies. The children can enjoy swimming, bathing, and different slides in the fun city. Snacks and Lunch facilities are also available. Locker facilities are available on the rental basis. For ladies, there is separate section to change the dresses. Swimming costumes are necessary to enter in the pool area. In case of requirements, swimming costumes are also available near the pool area.

2. Aqua World: Another water park in the city, located on Varanasi-Allahabad Road. Lot of fun rides, enthralling slides and a dance area is available inside the water park. Swimming costumes are necessary to enter in the pool area.

3. Nehru Park: Located in the cantonment area, this park is a great escape from the crowded city. The park is situated right next to the JHV multiplex on the Mall road. The park is quite clean and well maintained. Slides, swings and other things are available in the park for the children.

4. JHV Mall: A shopping mall and cineplex in the cantonment area. It has a video game parlour, fun activities like train rides in the premises. McDonald’s and Pizza Hut is also available.
5. Deer Park, Sarnath: The present day Deer Park is the actual site of the ancient Deer Park (Mrigdava), where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining the enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. A huge enclosure is still there where deer roam around freely, even today. Adjacent to the deer park is a nice well maintained bird aviary, where different species of the birds are confined in the enclosures. It is also a great place to enjoy different species of the water birds.
